Maintenance & Facilities Coordinator
Job Overview
Ragon House is looking for a dependable, hands-on Maintenance & Facilities Coordinator to take ownership of the maintenance, upkeep, and improvement of our facilities while assisting with a variety of projects throughout the business.
This is a great position for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and having variety in their day. The work can range from handling a building repair or coordinating a contractor to building a display, installing lighting, setting up for an event, or helping with a warehouse improvement project.
You do not need to be an expert in every skilled trade. We are looking for someone who can handle general maintenance and repairs within their abilities, recognize when a specialized professional is needed, and take responsibility for making sure the work gets completed.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the general maintenance and upkeep of our buildings and facilities.
- Identify maintenance and repair needs and address issues in a timely manner.
- Perform general maintenance, repairs, installations, and other hands-on projects.
- Coordinate electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, contractors, and other skilled professionals when specialized work is needed.
- Help manage preventative maintenance and recurring facility needs.
- Build, assemble, modify, and install displays, shelving, fixtures, signage, and other projects.
- Assist with facility improvements and build-out projects.
- Build and modify displays and other materials for trade shows.
- Assist with warehouse projects, including shelving, pallet racking, equipment, and organization.
- Help with setup and teardown for warehouse sales and other events, including lighting, signage, displays, parking areas, and other needs.
- Assist with general warehouse operations as needed.
- Take on other maintenance, facility, and special projects as they arise.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in maintenance, construction, facilities, property maintenance, carpentry, warehouse operations, or another hands-on field is preferred.
- General knowledge of tools, building systems, and basic repairs.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to determine what can be handled internally and when a skilled professional should be brought in.
- Dependable, organized, and able to work independently.
- Able to coordinate contractors and follow projects through to completion.
- Someone who notices things that need attention and takes initiative to address them.
- Comfortable performing physical work and working in a warehouse environment.
- Willing to take on a variety of responsibilities rather than doing the same thing every day.
Experience in every area is not required. We are looking for someone with good general hands-on ability, sound judgment, a willingness to learn, and the ability to figure out how to get things done.
